Culture and Organizational Culture Design to Scale the Business

The above quote from Mr. Tata is very relevant to today’s product companies as we compete on a global landscape where customers demand only innovative solutions. Lack of innovation can be fatal as today’s business tend to be ‘winner take it all’.
This play book roundtable focuses on deliberating some of the below questions…
* What is the ‘right atmosphere’ that we can provide to nurture innovations in our respective organisations?
* Is there one good culture which all organisations can follow?
* Can a culture of an organisation be built, or it’s born (comes naturally from somewhere)?
* Have companies changed their organisation culture as they grow?
* What are some of the success stories? And some failures, which can be attributed to wrong choices of culture?
* What culture do our fellow product startups follow? What’s their experience with such culture?
* Is it ok to have Friday Beer Parties at office?
The format of the play book is that the participating startups will share their experiences and thoughts on these questions for the first couple of hours, and the moderator summaries the deliberations in the next 1 hour.
We hope that each of the participating startup will go away with at least 2 or 3 implementable ideas which will help create the ‘right atmosphere’, as mentioned by Mr. Tata, in their respective organisations and increase their competitive edge while competing in a global landscape.
The playbook roundtable is led by Phanindra Sama from redBus(brief profile mentioned below) and is intended for companies that have a bootstrapped business (consumer or enterprise), have initial customers, with 30 employees or more, & are trying to scale to the next level. We hope that each of the participating startup will go away with at least 2 or 3 implementable ideas which will help create the ‘right atmosphere’ or ‘culture’, in their respective organizations, to increase their competitive edge while competing in a global landscape.
Applications are due by the 30 of January 2016. The goal is to have at most 10 companies so as to make the interaction effective. If there are other interested attendees, we will arrange subsequent roundtables. We will confirm the short-listed companies by 3rd of February 2016.
