Workshop on activating potential strategic partnership
1st July, 2017 @ 2:00 PM - 5:00 PM
Startups are bought never sold, this maxim while true makes a startup acquisition look very esoteric and opaque. This leads to many misconceptions and poor preparation on the part of startup to be amenable to an acquisition. As in the case of funding the best time and place to get acquired is when you don’t need or have to, which requires preparation months or even years in advance.
This workshop will go through those necessary preparatory questions that a startup must answer, the focus will be on asking the important strategic questions and identifying the right positioning and messaging for the startup.
While every acquisition is unique there are useful frameworks that startups can use when thinking about strategic partnership. The workshop will walk through once such framework called “Magic Box Paradigm” of startup acquisition.
This workshop is relevant for startups targeting all markets, however deep technology & product companies building for the global market will find this most useful for them. If you are Machine Learning/Deep Learning, BigData, AR/VR, Drone, IOT, Healthcare/ Medical Devices or Frontier / Deep tech company you must apply.
